The 4th edition of Arte in Vigna will feature «Il sorriso degli dei», a compelling series of five digital illustrations printed on fabric by the Chiavenna-based artist Jeunepie. Hosted by Tenuta San Giorgio in Cassina d’Agno, Switzerland, this annual event creates a vibrant meeting point where contemporary art encounters the natural landscape, fine wine, and conviviality. The terraced vineyard, embraced by Lake Lugano, offers an immersive journey where organic forms and the poetry of space converge.
In this upcoming edition, Jeunepie’s collection proposes a contemporary reimagining of female figures from Greco-Roman mythology: Andromeda, Hecate, Circe, Nyx, and Psyche. Removed from their traditional narrative functions, these figures are returned to an autonomous and current presence. Rather than merely illustrating the myths, the project interrogates them, configuring these subjects as active fields of energy.
The choice of a textile medium introduces an organic, vibrating dimension suspended in space. The pieces are designed to interact dynamically with the open-air environment, activated by natural light and the movement of the air within the agricultural context of the vineyard. Furthermore, each artwork will be accompanied by a QR code, allowing visitors to access a brief audio dedicated to the specific myth represented.
